Meet Meredith…

Hello, I’m Meredith! I am honored to join so many families as their birth doula in this special and wonderful time in a family’s life together. I was inspired to begin my passage into doula work after the birth of my first child. This overwhelming initiation into motherhood was eye opening and uncovered the joys, the judgements and disparity towards birthing people. It would be many years before I would finally take my first step on this path.

As a Mamaleh (little mother) to two beautiful young adult daughters, I’m deeply grateful for the experiences of birthing and nurturing my babies my way. I understand how precious and sacred these moments are, and how traumatic it can be when they don’t go as planned. Each birthing journey is unique, and as you prepare to bring your baby earthside, I will embrace you with a Mamaleh's comfort and love.

I provide evidence-based resources and techniques tailored to your needs, encouraging you to ask questions and stay informed about your body, your baby, and your choices. Whether your birth is in a hospital or at home, medicated or unmedicated, I will joyfully and devotedly support you in birthing your baby your way.

The value of harmony lies in its ability to create a balanced and peaceful environment, where both the mother and baby can feel safe and supported. As your doula, I strive to foster an environment where the natural ebb and flow of labor become harmonious.

Nature is our greatest teacher, guiding us through the rhythms and cycles of life. I believe in honoring the link between body and mind. My support is rooted in the belief that birth is a glorious and, powerful event to be celebrated. I revere nature’s transcendent partnership with birth and embrace that space between the humane and the divine.

"Meredith was an amazing source of support during my birth. Since I had a very uneventful pregnancy, I wasn’t sure if I would really benefit from having a birth doula, but it turned out to be the best decision. I initially was laboring at home for a couple days and Meredith was there by phone and text to talk me through it the whole time. She arrived at the hospital shortly after I did and helped me with the next part of labor - changing my positions and helping me understand what was going on with the medical interventions. Near the end of the birth, several complications came up. Meredith was so invaluable at this time - she helped me stay calm about these unexpected events, she told me how to push and cheered me on, she helped me through the pain and nausea in the aftermath. Even the OB resident at my birth said, “I want you to be my birth doula!” Afterwards I was a bit emotionally shaken up by the experience and she showed up to hug me and help me find more support. If I give birth again I will definitely want Meredith to be my doula again!"
